Look what we have here. We just raid a nice pop band that named their self “The Trees and The Wild”. Well somehow they are just another neo-folk-pop band but yet still beautiful and soothing even if the vocalist sounded like John Mayer on acid.

A mysterious folk artists, we couldn’t found any information about Tenderpaw at the myspace’s page. But i think Tenderpaw is a pseudonym for a singer-song writer located in Jakarta.
The music itself soothing a gentle breeze, reminding us to our folk heroes Simon and Garfunkel. raid their myspace now to get more songs from this young folk.

The Wispy Hummers are Joan and her acoustic guitar, she plays a beautiful lo-fi-folk-songs with influence from Bob Dylan, Bright Eyes, Wilco etc. Recently they just released an e.p. called “You go First” which is strictly limited.

Adalah singer songwriter dengan lagu-lagu yang khas folk seperti Nick Drake, Andrew Brid dan Leonard Cohen. Menciptakan lagu-lagu yang peka dengan dominasi petikan gitar akustik yang lembut, dan suara Nace yang hushky. Seperti pada lagu “Time Passes” yang memiliki petikan gitar menenangkan, begitupula track-track lain yang semuanya memiliki melodi yang tentram dan cenderung sentimentil.
Album ini didistribusikan di Indonesia oleh Myrrrr.
My Morning Jacket segera merilis album kelima mereka berjudul Evil Urges, sebuah album yang oleh mereka diusahakan untuk tidak jatuh menjadi “normal rock and roll sounds”, album ini diusahakan untuk menyamai sound live yang biasa mereka mainkan.
Secara musik album ini tidak berada jauh dari album-album mereka sebelumnya, masih berada ditengah-tengah indie rock, country, southern rock, dengan sound-sound psychedelic. Menurut saya pribadi, musik MMJ seperti mem-blender influences mereka, mulai dari Flaming Lips, Grateful Dead sampai Hank Williams. Influences mereka itu, dapat terbaca dari tiap-tiap track yang mereka rekam di album Evil Urges ini. Hal itu membuat album ini rada-rada unik, sejenak saya merasa berada di ladang gandum dengan topi koboy, sejenak membuat saya berada ditengah-tengah kaum hippy, sampai kemudian saya tersadar dan kembali ke peradaban.
Album nya sendiri seharusnya baru beredar pada tanggal 20 Juni 2008 nanti, namun ternyata sudah bocor di internet. Tetapi jika kamu sudah mengenal My Morning Jacket sebelumnya, ada baiknya tetap membeli album originalnya walaupun kamu sudah memiliki mp3 hasil download.
Nama aslinya Stéphanie Sokolinski, berasal dari Perancis. Lagu “I’ll Kill Her” yang direkam SoKo tersebar dengan cepat di blog-blog musik internet, dan dengan cepat juga meraih banyak penggemar baru. Lagu-lagunya mungkin berada di genre anti-folk seperti Regina Spektor dan kawan-kawan tapi ia banyak terpengaruh juga dari Daniel Johnston, Velvet Underground sampai Arcade Fire dan The Moldy Peaches.
Dia juga cukup dikenal karena meng-cover lagu dari The Teenagers yang judulnya ‘Love No”
