Look what we have here. We just raid a nice pop band that named their self “The Trees and The Wild”. Well somehow they are just another neo-folk-pop band but yet still beautiful and soothing even if the vocalist sounded like John Mayer on acid.

Another treasure we found at Myspace. Suster Clinic, a five piece all girls from Malang, East Java, Indonesia. Who played nice indie-pop-punk tunes. Their songs would reminds you to Shonen Knife, Dara Puspita or maybe Boys Are Toys.

Bite are Deedee Laz, Alexander Kaunang, Rebecca Theodora and Harry K. They said that a Bite sounds like… sometimes a crunch, sometimes a crack, some other time it sounds like “chump”. But sometimes it’s just so smooth that you can just swallow it ahead.
You’ll gonna love how they sing about people who wore “Ramones” t-shirts but doesn’t have any idea who iis Dee Dee and Joey. Sweet voices but sarcastic lyrics.

Adalah singer songwriter dengan lagu-lagu yang khas folk seperti Nick Drake, Andrew Brid dan Leonard Cohen. Menciptakan lagu-lagu yang peka dengan dominasi petikan gitar akustik yang lembut, dan suara Nace yang hushky. Seperti pada lagu “Time Passes” yang memiliki petikan gitar menenangkan, begitupula track-track lain yang semuanya memiliki melodi yang tentram dan cenderung sentimentil.
Album ini didistribusikan di Indonesia oleh Myrrrr.
Baru saja beberapa hari lalu mereka memainkan sebuah konser yang memukau di Bandung, Indonesia. Kemarin kami di Sugarpop mendapatkan kabar kalau mereka membagikan single terbaru mereka Freddie and the Trojan Horse. Aslinya dibagikan lewat Pitchforkmedia, namun kemudian menyebar diberbagai blog musik di Internet.
Lagunya sendiri tidak jauh berbeda dengan lagu-lagu di album “Pet Grief”, bertaburan efek delay dan vokal yang terdistorsi. Plus aransemen yang melodius. Lagu yang katanya sih bercerita mengenai politik di Swedia.
Ini adalah hasil rekaman live akustik Gunver di Sugarpop pada tanggal 27 April 2008 kemarin, mereka memainkan tiga lagu dengan penuh penghayatan, walaupun masih lelah setelah perjalanan jauh dari Jakarta.
