Sugar Pop! March 30, 2008
This week was not so good! My Sugar Pop show was distracted by me reading the wrong comercial schedule book . I don’t know that I was reading the wrong schedule until 4.45 PM. I just play the songs and read the news, then..BAM!!! SHITTOOOO… I wasn’t read 2 adlibs and 1 insert!! hahaa… go manager, go cut my salary!! aarrgghh…
But still the songs list could swept away my blue mood though!

Mereka adalah duo yang terdiri dari Zooey Deschanel dan M. Ward. Masing-masing sebelumnya sudah dikenal di dunia hiburan, Zoey adalah aktris (Almost Famous) dan M.Ward adalah singer-songwriter yang cukup dikenal. Namun ketika mereka berdua berjumpa ternyata menghasilkan sebuah proyek musik yang menyenangkan dan terciptalah She and Him.

Album perdana mereka “Volume One” telah rilis dengan label Merge Records yang juga merilis The Clientele, Dinosaur Jr, Spoon, Robert Pollard dan lain-lain. Di luar banyak kritikan bahwa lebih dominan si “She” nya dibanding “Him” karena lebih memang karakter Zooey lebih dominan dialbum ini. Namun saya rasa proyek ini sama sekali tidak mengecewakan. Bagus malah…

Secara musikal mereka memainkan musik folk pop yang ringan, mengingatkan pada Dusty Springfield, Linda Ronstadt, The Zombies dan mungkin Regina Spektor.
